2011.01.26 Vrindavan (VT): Inspector Shyamlal Yadav of the Mathura Police comfirmed yesterday that Arvind Patil, otherwise known as Sahasranam Das, confessed to the murder of Bodhmatie Ori on the night of November 17th, 2011.
Sahasranam Das (Arvind Patil), 40, is a former Vrindavan Gurukula student and disciple of Lokanath Swami. According to some, he is also a blood relative of Lokanath Swami, his nephew through a sister or cousin sister.
He lived in the United States in the Philadelphia temple for some time in the mid-90′s, but of late was based at ISKCON’s temple in Aravade, Maharashtra, which is also Lokanath Swami’s birthplace.
According to some sources, Sahasranam Das was involved in the shooting of Kadamba Kanana Das (now Swami), then temple president of ISKCON Vrindavan, in the mid-90s. The case was not pursued.
According to our sources, Sahasranam had been befriended by Vrinda Devi, who was also a Lokanath Swami disciple before leaving ISKCON. She had even made him a part owner of the Sheetal Chaya property and his name was on the deed.
He had been trying to get her to sell the property but she had not agreed to it, but he had continued to make efforts to do so without her knowledge. This had led to numerous quarrels between the two and, evidently, the ultimate crime.
Sahasranam had been seen in the vicinity of Vrinda Devi’s home near about the time of the murder and was an early suspect wanted for questioning. The trail led to him in Maharashtra as he was using her debit card to extract large sums of money from her bank account.

Justice before any question of mercy. This man needs to be punished to the fullest extent of the law to set example that Vrndavan is a place where chaste women can find safe refuge and protection. Such a monstrous crime committed within the precincts of Vrndavan should receive the maximum penalty. Those who consider themselves devotees must be held to a higher standard. I applaud the Indian police for tracking down this culprit, to the extent of following his trail across the subcontinent. A job well done. Bravo!

There is no justice system in India except huge corruption. A person’s innocent till proven guilty and a confession under torture is no confession. It is a well known fact that relatives are the closest people in these types of crimes for greed of wealth, life insurance policies or property. They need to be investigated knowing she didn’t get along with her husband either. Does her brother get the house now? These are the types of questions people should be asking so the real culprits are brought to justice.
Now that I have everything analyzed, I came to the conclusion that the police of vrinadvan protecting the killer and his group.
Because
1. The police comfirmed, that it was a suicide, because they no wanted to continue the investigation.
2. Why did the police of vrindavan did not found de effedents that it was murder. simple thinks hand glove end nife
3.they were against autopsy, thats way the autopsy raport was not complete.
I thank god that the forensic team from lucknow has given the case a different twist.

They have purified the name of Vrinda Devi.

The police of vrindavan made no effort from the beginning to Sahasranam DAS, because he was already from the beginning a prime suspect.
He was a regular visitor at Vrinda Devi home.

In the 1990s he had already a shooting incident, but because it would be a shame for ISCKON and his uncle LOKHNATH SWAMI. This was hospitalized in the cover-up.

To be quite honest, we don’t really know exactly what is going on with this case. We just share what we do know.
The question who the monster is, is yet to be answered. I agree with maya that it looks like that Sahasranam was framed and I pray that he did not falsly confess under torture. Like JB I find the difference of dates in these articles curious and disturbing. In fact I don’t believe that Sahasranam has confessed to have done anything.

Those who work with Sahasranam Das, know very well that a false case is booked against him in the murder of Dutch woman. He was not living in Mathura and was not in Mathura during the alleged period the woman was suspected of Murder. There is abundant testimony and documentary evidence that he was not in Mathura during alleged period. Police asked him to come to Mathura and arrested him on his reporting. Sahasranam Das is a great devotee who left his happy well paying job in U.S. to render service at Aravade temple and to take care of cows. His simplicity, exemplary character speaks out his nature. He is wrongly implicated. Sahasranam Das denied the allegations and did not confess. Government should provide him a counsel as he cannot afford one, before he is asked to sign blindly.
The Dutch Woman’s family members who benefited from her death, should be investigated. My deep condolence to all those close to the Dutch woman. I recognize that she is a great devotee of Banke Bihariji and we pray that Banke Bihariji take care of her.
Anyone who writes against Sahasranam Das, without knowing him or his background and the facts, would commit a great sin and injustice to a great devotee. My humble request to get the facts straight and not generate false rumors.

This is a perfect example of making offenses unknowingly towards another devotee such as Sahasranam prabhu. The citizens of India and the rest of civilized worlds should demand answers from their government. Only when the corruption of India has been addressed will justice be served for both in Sahasra prabhu’s innocence as well as finding the real culprits. It is my uncle request that devotees from all over the world request the CBI of India to thoroughly investigate this case and start another investigation against the corruption of inspector Mr yadav and his team for bribery. Devotees should further request the Dutch Government to look into all financial matters of Vrinda Devi including life insurance beneficiaries, other family past enmity issues with husband as well. Investigation should further include large amounts of financial transfers from any of Vrindas relatives to any individual in india and the money trail should be followed to see where it ends up. This is how justice will really be served. My prayers are the real culprits are truly brought to justice in India and abroad.
@JB: Regarding to contact the CBI, on their website it is stated: “The CBI does not take up investigation of conventional crimes like murder, theft, robbery etc. unless directed by the Supreme Court / High Courts or referred by State Governments… This is because “police” is a State subject under the Indian Constitution and the basic jurisdiction to investigate crimes is that of State police. The CBI’s power to investigate cases is derived from the Delhi Special Police Establishment Act. The CBI can investigate the offences notified under this Act in the Union Territories and with the consent of State Governments, in the States. Besides, since the CBI is a small force, administratively also it has not been considered expedient for the CBI to investigate the conventional crimes unless directed by the Supreme Court/High Courts or referred by State Governments.”
It’s possible the Dutch Embassy can initiate something with the CBI.

I will tell you what: about 21 years ago the killer and his uncle Loknath SWAMI stayed at Vrinda Devi home in Holland (Den Haag)
I was there and I’ve seen a lot. CG and Karuna RASA DAsi I know them very long and very well. Nobody needs to tell me something about these two ghostly Saints.
The way how Vrinda Devi has handled these two cheaters, they have never experienced earlier in their lives. They were god for Vrinda Devi.
In that time I knew already that they kept her well for her money. Everything revolved around money at these two.
She believed in these two and everything she earned she donated to this guru and the killer.

The Dutch Consulate General in India should demand Autopsy report from genuine forensic Departments outside Uttar Pradesh. They should appoint a private investigation agency in the matter. UP State Police , the land grabbing Mafia in Vrindavan , the neighbors, the chowkidhar, the milk Man, the Vegetable Vendors and people who are close to Vrindavan Dasi should be investigated. Sahasranam Das is a very nice person and always helps others. The dates and forensic reports seem to be incorrect. The real criminals must be roaming free . The Dutch Consulate cannot just accept what ever misguided stories that getting published. The Police wants to just close this case by framing Sahasranam Das and wash off their hands.

Mr Yadav know very well who has committed this crime but his dept has taken huge bribes from the real culprits. Where did those people go that Vrindas family had mentioned some names of the locals? Obviously when she used to speak to her father she would mention that local people were harassing her and sahasranam’s name was not mentioned anywhere. This is a complete setup. I know that Maharaja and Sahasranam Prabhu visited the late Vrida Devi 21 years ago because I was actually with them at the time. This may come as a surprise to you but yes, I knew Vrinda Devi and she treated me very well when I visited her back then.
There is no case against Sahasranam and you just have to come to terms with that.

I fully agree whith what JB says that it looks very much like the family is trying to hide the truth in this case. I too remember how Sahasranam was kidnapped and tortured by Vrinda Devis ex-husband and her family. Truth is that this family wanted to get rid of Sahasranam Prabhu for a long time.

There is no any kind of proof that he was in vrndavan.But there are so many proof he was in Arwade. When vrunda mataji dead.
Why only sahasranam under the enquiry,where the other guys who’s name mentioned in the FIR.
Is the Vrundavan Police corrupted.
There is no complain in police station about vrunda mataji ATM,
May she borrowed some money from him than she gave ATM to him.
It is very difficult to use ATM without her permission.
According CBI report sahasra didnot take out money from ATM after june 2011. may he gave her back.

I am very impressed with Satish’s contribution. It’s great to see that more and more of Sahasranam’s friends come out and stick up for him. I too have proof that Sahasranam was in south india at the time of this mataji’s unfortunate death.
We can only pray that justice is served in this case and that the charges against Sahasranam are going to be dropped.
